Resurrection House Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate House Monitor to join our team in Wheatley Heights, NY. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise residents to ensure safety, compliance, and well-being throughout the facility
- Enforce house rules and maintain a structured, orderly living environment
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of the facility
- Document and report resident behavior, incidents, and concerns to supervisory staff
- Document case notes in files
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including cooking and general guidance
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and management to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Prior experience in residential care, social services, or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or crisis situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts including nights and weekends
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others
- Basic computer and documentation skills
