Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director CDM to join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab. As a key member of our dietary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, managing our food budget, and ensuring that our patients and residents receive top-quality meals that meet their individual needs. Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve a variety of menu items in compliance with dietary restrictions and regulations
Manage food inventory, ordering, and budget to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
Supervise and train dietary staff, including cooks, servers, and dishwashers
Develop and implement new menu items and specials, ensuring culinary excellence and patient satisfaction
Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with our nursing team to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients
Manage and maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar culinary role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
