Our collaborative and diverse data science and data management teams help organizations establish trusted, governed, and actionable data ecosystems that enable informed decision-making across the enterprise. Our projects range from enterprise data strategy and stewardship initiatives to data architecture modernization, and enterprise data analytics/data science.
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance and Architecture Lead who is passionate about helping organizations understand and manage complex data environments while driving enterprise-wide adoption of data management best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and organizational leadership skills and be capable of guiding cross-functional working groups, educating stakeholders, and aligning local data initiatives with enterprise governance frameworks. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, helping organizations prevent fragmented data efforts and establish coordinated approaches to data management and analytics
Key activities include:

Lead and facilitate the Air Force Sustainment Center’s data needs supporting AFSC logistics and sustainment operations and work in conjunction with Higher Headquarters data efforts

Consolidate and maintain information on all data systems and data attributes supporting the logistics mission

Identify and document data sources, system relationships, and business processes across the enterprise, especially the AFSC Digital Depot efforts

Help government stakeholders understand how data flows across logistics, maintenance, supply chain, and sustainment systems

Educate and train government personnel on data management best practices and enterprise data resources
-
Promote consistent use of DoW, AF, and AFSC enterprise tools, standards, and processes

Coordinate across organizations to reduce duplicate data efforts and conflicting reporting or analytics driving to Enterprise Applications as possible.

Review proposed data initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and existing capabilities

Ensure data is trustworthy by cultivating medallion best practices for bronze, silver, and gold standards

Support the development of data management plans and stewardship/governance documentation

Facilitate discussions between functional experts, system owners, analysts, and leadership to resolve data challenges

Lead Data Working Groups as required

Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to government leadership

Required skills for this job include:

Must have existing Secret Clearance

Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen

Strong understanding of Department of War logistics, maintenance, supply chain, or sustainment operations

Experience working directly with Air Force organizations, preferably AFSC stakeholders

Ability to understand and communicate complex business processes and data relationships
-
Experience facilitating working groups, meetings, and stakeholder engagements to include preparing presentations, tracking action items and preparing meeting minutes

Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
-
Experience documenting business processes, data sources, and operational workflows
-
Ability to translate technical concepts into language appropriate for non-technical audiences
-
Ability to manage data as an asset and maintain data configuration baselines using tools such as ServiceNow or other software.

Experience developing and delivering training materials and workshops

Self-starter capable of working independently while coordinating across multiple organizations

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in data stewardship/governance and data architecture

Experience supporting Air Force programs or organizations strongly preferred
