Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team. Candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, and a commitment to delivering high-quality sushi and other related dishes. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests through your culinary expertise and creativity.
Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative sushi offerings that align with seasonal ingredients.
- Manage inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage of fish and other components.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on knife techniques and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of various sushi styles, ingredients, and traditional Japanese cooking methods.
- Communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
