About the Position
We are looking for a creative, organized, responsible, and proactive Part-Time E-Commerce & Educational Content Assistant to support our growing online store.
Our business creates and sells bilingual educational resources, digital products, curriculum materials, courses, and other resources for childcare providers and early childhood educators.
The ideal candidate is comfortable using Canva, working with Shopify, communicating with customers, and creating attractive and age-appropriate educational materials. This person must be able to follow directions, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit educational resources using Canva.
- Design worksheets, activities, posters, labels, calendars, curriculum materials, social media graphics, and digital products.
- Upload and organize products in our Shopify store.
- Write and update product titles, descriptions, prices, images, and digital files.
- Respond professionally to customer emails and messages.
- Provide friendly and timely customer service.
- Assist customers with purchases, downloads, memberships, courses, and general questions.
- Help organize monthly educational themes, lesson plans, and curriculum materials.
- Proofread resources in English and Spanish.
- Organize digital files, folders, templates, and product information.
- Assist with email communication and basic administrative tasks.
- Help prepare product launches, promotions, and membership materials.
- Follow established brand styles, colors, fonts, and templates.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all products, customer information, designs, and business materials.
- Complete other tasks related to the operation and growth of the online store.
Qualifications
- Experience using Canva is required.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer and internet skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers.
- Good writing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Creativity and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow detailed instructions.
- Comfortable managing several projects at the same time.
- Experience with Shopify, digital products, online stores, education, childcare, or early childhood curriculum is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Shopify or another e-commerce platform.
- Customer service or administrative assistance.
- Designing educational resources for children ages birth to five.
- Early childhood education, childcare, teaching, or lesson planning.
- Creating bilingual English and Spanish materials.
- Email marketing, social media content, or digital product creation.
Work Arrangement
This is a part-time hybrid position. Most responsibilities may be completed remotely, but the employee must be available to meet or work in person in Bowie, Maryland, when training, planning, or special projects require it.
The schedule may be flexible, but the employee must be available during agreed-upon working hours and respond to business communications promptly.
