Job Summary
The Operational Training Specialist (OST) is a self-starting individual with superior organizational and communication skills and a positive attitude to support a growing team of cleaning professionals. The Operational Training Specialist will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Training Specialist, working in a professional cleaning environment and 3 years experience as a Commercial Cleaning Service Technician. The ability to develop and deliver training programs to ensure cleaning staff meet policies, safety standards and quality expectations. This role blends hands-on cleaning work with leadership and mentorship responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Train and mentor staff: Teach new hires and existing team members cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company-specific procedures in line with the organization’s policies
- Lead by example: Perform cleaning tasks in clients’ homes or facilities to demonstrate proper methods and maintain high standards
- Daily supervision: Oversee team activities, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with cleaning and safety guidelines
- Quality control: Conduct walk-throughs to check work quality, address discrepancies, and ensure client satisfaction
- Client interaction: Respond to client inquiries, handle special requests, and communicate issues to management
- Equipment and supplies management: Maintain and return tools, vehicles, and supplies; replenish stock and report maintenance needs
- Safety enforcement: Ensure all team members follow safety rules and procedures
- Meetings and reporting: Attend team meetings, update records (e.g., Maid Central), and report accidents or incidents promptly

Experience
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult education methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in designing and delivering comprehensive training programs within a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly through public speaking or virtual presentation formats.
- 1 year as Operational Training Specialist
- 3 years as Commercial Cleaning Service Technician
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
