We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Vac Trucks/Fleet) to join our team in Taylor, MI with extensive experience working on a varied fleet of OTR trucks and equipment. Pay
Shift
-
Monday-Friday, Day Shift, In-Shop Role; Overtime and Occasional Weekend hours based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
-
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
-
Maintain and service a variety of fleet vehicles, including Vac trucks
-
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
-
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
-
Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
-
Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed

Collaborate with fleet manager to schedule routine maintenance
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (Fleet maintenance required)
-
Experience working on Vac trucks or similar specialty equipment
-
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
-
Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
-
Must have own tools
-
CDL A or B (preferred, or willing to obtain)

High school diploma or GED
-
Ability to pass drug screening and background check
