Goodbee & Associates, Inc. is searching for a highly motivated civil engineer to join our Lakewood, CO team. As an entry level engineer, responsibilities will primarily include creating and maintaining civil engineering drawings in AutoCad and MicroStation for public infrastructure projects . You will have opportunities to support during all phases of project development from planning and design into construction. This position may provide opportunities for field work throughout Colorado.
We are looking for an accountable and flexible team member with strong communication skills who is ready to learn on the job. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to Denver metro-based candidates.
Job Duties
- Responsible for CAD drafting to create and update plan sheets with direction from engineer.
- Review and implement CAD standards as required by CDOT and municipalities.
- Communicate with utility companies to obtain and compile existing utility information.
- Review and apply for ROW permits with local agencies.
- Assist with meeting material preparation, minutes, and distribution.
- Support subsurface utility engineering, survey, and data collection field efforts.
- Execute quality control procedures in accordance with company standards.
Required Skills
- 0-3 years of civil design, geophysical, and/or survey experience
- Close attention to detail, quality processes, and safety procedures
- Strong oral and written communication
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new processes and tasks
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PDF/Bluebeam Editor
- Valid driver’s license
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
- Colorado Engineering Intern (E.I. or ‘EIT’) license preferred
