Position Overview
The Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process, generating sales opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role involves working closely with customers both in-store and over the phone, providing product knowledge, preparing quotes, and helping customers find equipment and solutions that best fit their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers and respond to incoming calls, emails, and inquiries
- Assist customers in selecting equipment, parts, accessories, and services that meet their needs
- Generate and follow up on sales leads to build and maintain a strong customer base
- Prepare quotes, sales agreements, and financing paperwork as needed
- Maintain product knowledge on tractors, mowers, trailers, and related equipment
- Explain product features, benefits, warranties, and service options to customers
- Coordinate with the parts and service departments to ensure excellent customer support
- Follow up with customers before and after the sale to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with merchandising, showroom displays, and promotional activities
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation
- Meet or exceed sales goals and performance expectations
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional dealership environment
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Experience in automotive sales, powersports sales, auto parts sales, equipment sales, or dealership environments preferred
- Knowledge of tractors, mowers, trailers, outdoor power equipment, automotive parts, or dealership operations preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer proficiency for customer records, quotes, and sales documentation
- Ability to build lasting relationships with customers
