We are a small, client-focused law firm serving Hampton Roads and surrounding communities looking for a Family Law and Criminal LAw paralegal. Our practice emphasizes personal service, strong client communication, and practical legal solutions. While our firm handles a variety of legal matters, our primary focus includes family and domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, visitation, support, and related litigation, criminal defense and DUI.
What You'll Do
- Assist attorneys with divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery documents
- Maintain case files and litigation calendars
- Communicate regularly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and hearing materials
- Manage case deadlines and ensure files are organized and up to date
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during difficult times
Required Qualifications
- Prior divorce and family law experience is required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail

Schedule
- Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Full-time position
