We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, towels, and garments within our facility. This position is essential in ensuring that all items are laundered to the highest standards, contributing to a positive experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms using appropriate washing techniques and equipment.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution to various departments or areas within the facility.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with care and attention.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for different fabrics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
