Provides safe, dependable, and flexible driving transportation services for clients to and from appointments.
Helps clients and staff in/out of transport vehicles in a careful, respectful and polite fashion.
Monitor behavior of clients being transported, reporting any observed incidences of inappropriate behavior (using judgement) to Case Manager or Site Manager.
Assists in packing, loading, unloading and unpacking equipment, supplies and food as needed.
Keeps vehicles clean and undertakes complete regular operator maintenance, schedules regular and special vehicle maintenance and repair.
Complete regular operator maintenance by keeping vehicles clean, vacuumed and clear of trash on an as needed basis.
Complete and maintain, as directed and authorized, transportation mileage activity logs/sheets.
Keep an accurate transportation schedule and participation records; produce written and/or oral reports as needed or requested.
Perform preventative maintenance in and around site buildings.
Establishes and maintain professional quality communications with residents, staff, visitors, and providers.
Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
Ability to use repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Professional presentation and attitude.
Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
Strong time management skills.
