**THIS POSITION REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR VETERINARY RECEPTION/VET ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE. YOU MUST HAVE WORKED IN A VETERINARY SETTING. APPLICANTS WITHOUT ONE YEAR VETERINARY EXPERIENCE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.**
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant to join our growing veterinary team.
This position combines excellent client service with hands-on patient care, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both working with people and caring for animals.
**Reception Duties Include, but not limited to**
*Greet clients and their pets with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
* Answer multi-line phone calls and schedule appointments.
* Check patients in and out efficiently.
* Process payments and maintain accurate medical records.
* Communicate appointment reminders and follow-up information.
* Keep the reception area clean, organized, and professional.
**Veterinary Assistant Duties Include, but are not limited to **
*Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures.
* Safely restrain animals for exams and treatments.
* Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic.
* Administer medications and treatments as directed.
* Collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic testing.
* Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
* Assist with surgical preparation and recovery when needed.
**Qualifications**
*Previous veterinary reception or veterinary assistant experience REQUIRED.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Compassion for animals and their owners.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals of various sizes.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
