Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and production deadlines. Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications.
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and programming using CNC G-code Programming and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Conduct machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting to optimize machining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain documentation of machining processes, inspection results, and quality control records for each batch produced.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as M-code and Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar tools for interpreting designs.
- Skilled in manual machining techniques including lathe work, grinding, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints thoroughly and interpret complex technical drawings with GD&T specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, tooling setup, measurement instruments, and machine calibration procedures.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, and speeds essential for precision machining.
- Familiarity with materials such as metals and other manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles to promote efficiency within the production environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection using measurement instruments like micrometers and bore gauges.
