As a Engineering Manager you will:
- Responsible for proposal development, engineering, costing and technical descriptions
- Responsible for engineering & production documentation for assigned projects
- Engagement with various core production orders from contract review to shipping
- Review project drawings/instructions to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions, such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies
- Leverage significant industry experience to review and approve design drawings as required
- Develop/test equipment and apply knowledge of engineering technology with minimal oversight
- Provide input into project drawings/instructions to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, including possible solutions, such as part redesign, substitution of material of parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies
- Define, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine engineering team health
- Mentor and transition advanced industry knowledge to applicable stakeholders
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Manages direct reports including technical resources
- Responsible for project delivery including coordination of all project resources
- Performs 1-on-1’s and responsible for direct reports performance and development, 3-8 direct reports
- All other duties as assigned.
- Provide advanced technical support on projects with minimal oversight
- Manage engineering team workload, including assigning project tasks, managing resources, implementing key decisions, and creating estimates as needed
- Work with Procurement and Facilities who will be leading the purchasing of materials and scheduling of parts (common and procured) to ensure all are being managed and flows smoothly
This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of project management principals involved in coordinating, scheduling and directing projects.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals for production of technical plans, drawings, models and ultimately fabrication and testing as needed.
- Knowledge of various quality assurance requirements as they apply to products and design control.
- Ability to lead and direct internal personnel and subcontractors to ensure project fulfillment.
- Creative, analytical, detail-oriented, with good hands-on skills, and ability to work on and lead teams
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Strong ability to review and/or update budgetary and financial analyses/summaries
- Stay current on all training
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations
- BS in engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of engineering experience in relevant field
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- Knowledge of CAD systems, including AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Microsoft Office and Project tracking experience
- Able to function in a dynamic fast-moving environment
Salary: $140,000.00-$160,000.00
- Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
