Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Manager to lead our Aroma Joe's Ellsworth operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a barista team, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive a positive work culture, maintain inventory and weekly reporting accuracy, and ongoing community collaboration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our shop while developing your managerial skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
Duties
- Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to optimize product availability.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
- Handle recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, participating in hiring decisions, and onboarding new staff.
- Monitor sales performance using retail math principles and manage scheduling to ensure adequate shift coverage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in purchasing, inventory management, and POS systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations for pricing and sales analysis.
- Knowledge of team management, merchandising, and operational procedures.
- Ability to train staff on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, and store policies.
- Driver license
