Staff Accountant:

In this role, you'll partner with Accounting, Project Management, HR, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, support project success, and help drive operational excellence.
What You'll DoAccounting & Payroll
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Support payroll compliance, including union reporting, certified payroll, prevailing wage, and regulatory filings.
- Maintain employee payroll records, benefit deductions, garnishments, and paid time off tracking.
- Assist with labor cost allocations, job costing, payroll reporting, and payroll audits.
- Serve as a trusted resource for payroll-related questions and support.
Project Accounting
- Set up new projects, budgets, cost codes, and contracts within the ERP system.
- Process customer billings, subcontractor requisitions, and vendor invoices.
- Partner with Project Managers to monitor project budgets, labor costs, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
- Support change orders, project reconciliations, financial reporting, and project closeouts.
- Assist with receivables, collections, and client documentation.
General Accounting
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Assist with month-end accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Participate in system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
- Help strengthen internal controls and improve accounting efficiencies.
- Contribute to special projects across the accounting and operations teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in accounting, payroll, project accounting, or construction accounting preferred.
- Construction industry or union payroll experience is a plus.
- Experience with Trimble Spectrum or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
