Madison Highland Prep is seeking applicants for the position of Varsity Football Coach - Offensive Coordinator. This position would require regular attendance at practices after school as well as scheduled games and tournaments, which may require team travel via bus/van. This position offers a stipend. This position will be active year round.
Position: Varsity Football Coach - Offensive Coordinator
Salary: $4,000 stipend paid in 4 equal installments at conclusion of each season and meeting all coaching obligations (summer, fall, winter, and spring). $1,000 signing bonus paid two weeks after holding regular season practices and coaching first home game. Additional $250 bonus paid if team qualifies for post season play to compensate for additional coaching time.
Summer Camp: A summer camp will be held Monday - Thursday, July 20th - July 30th, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Duties
- Assist head coach with developing and implementing training programs that enhance players' skills and understanding of football.
- Assist head coach with conducting regular practice sessions focusing on technique, strategy, and physical conditioning.
- Monitor athletes' progress and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Foster teamwork and sportsmanship among players through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
- Organize and lead team meetings to discuss game strategies, player roles, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to athlete development.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with head coach and school administration to communicate player progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, specifically in football or related sports.
- Strong knowledge of football strategies, rules, and techniques.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively guide young athletes.
- Experience or knowledge in other sports such as basketball or martial arts is a plus.
- Ability to educate athletes on physical fitness, health, and nutrition.
- Strong communication skills to motivate players and collaborate with staff.
