Ohio Steel Industries, Inc. is seeking a Project Administrator to support our Structural Steel Project Management team. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional with construction administration or project coordination experience who can help keep projects organized and moving forward.

What You'll Do
- In collaboration with our Project Management team, you will:
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day construction project administration.
- Process and track construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Obtain and track insurance, workers' compensation, and other required subcontractor documentation.
- Assist with project startup, contracts, notices, and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain project schedules, logs, contacts, and documentation.
- Assist with schedules of values, change orders, billing, and other project financial documentation.
- Coordinate information between Project Managers, Detailers, fabrication, vendors, subcontractors, and General Contractors.
- Follow up on outstanding submittals, approvals, documentation, and project requirements.
- Assist with project closeouts, warranties, waivers, retainage, and final payment requirements.
- Support customer prequalification requirements and other project administrative needs.
Schedule
The schedule is currently 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday.
This is subject to change with organizational needs.
What We're Looking For
We want to hear from you if you are organized, dependable, and enjoy keeping projects and people on track.
- Previous construction administration, project coordination, or related construction experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Comfortable working with construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project correspondence.
- AIA billing and lien waiver experience is a plus.
- Tekla/Trimble or other construction software experience is a plus. Training can be provided.
- Notary Public certification preferred; candidates without a current notary commission must be willing to obtain their Notary Public commission within the first 60–90 days of employment.
- Structural steel, fabrication, or commercial construction experience is preferred.
