Qualifications
- Illinois Drivers License.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Good driving record.
Job Summary
The van driver is responsible for the transportation of individuals with disabilities between their home/schools and program sites. They are also responsible for non-mechanical maintenance of the vans. The work schedule may vary from 10-20 hours per week. Work hours may range from very early in the morning up until midnight, depending on the needs of the program. The van driver works independently. During the day, the van driver may be required to perform work duties. This "down time" may be spent sitting or performing other work activities outside of van driver duties.
Essential Functions of The Job
- Driving participants to WSSRA programs via 14 passanger van.
- Transferring participants in wheelchairs in and out of vehicles.
- General paperwork.
- Non-mechanical van maintenance.
- Actively support the WSSRA safety program.
Other Functions of The Job
- Assisting with group programs.
- Washing vehicles.
- Delivering brochures and program advertisements for activities.
- Occasional transportation of luggage for special trips
Pay Rate
$18 - $22/hour
