Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with food handling regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Manage food preparation tasks including basic food handling, serving pastries or snacks, and ensuring quality standards are met
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and organizing workstations for efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within a café or retail environment
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong skills in time management to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service
- Demonstrated ability to perform retail math including cash handling, sales calculations, and basic math skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Prior experience in coffee preparation, serving beverages, or working in the food industry is preferred
