Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate PM Line Cook to join our Mighty Donuts team. 11am start time to 4pm (THURSDAY - SUNDAY) The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in high volume cooking or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for cooking breakfast menu items, prepping items for service, cleaning the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Our space is a high volume environment, and is primarily breakfast and brunch food with a smaller lunch menu. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Utilize knife skills for meal preparation and presentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in high volume restaurants or catering
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Has a method of transportation to arrive on time for an early shift
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
