Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Demonstrate extensive beverage service skills including cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, and spirits experience
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Proven ability in upselling beverages, cocktails, wines, and menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills confidently
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach
- Knowledge of the food industry including fine dining standards and beverage service techniques
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly, including spirits experience and drink service expertise
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure
