Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage multiple tables efficiently with excellent time management skills during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize the dining flow
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables during peak hours seamlessly
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation and handling processes
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; a background in hospitality or the food industry is highly valued
