We are seeking a High School Math Specialist, for the 2026 - 2027 school year, with fluency in English; verbal and written communication. The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and the Department of Education's Teacher Certification.
Job Summary
The High School Math Teacher (Pre-Calculus & Calculus) is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that prepares students for college-level coursework and advanced problem-solving. The teacher fosters analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and real-world application of advanced algebraic and calculus concepts in a structured, student-centered learning environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Pre-Calculus, Calculus and other Mathematics courses.
- Teach advanced mathematical concepts including functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, trigonometry, and analytical modeling.
- Prepare students for college readiness, standardized testing, and advanced placement assessments.
- Differentiate instruction to address varying student skill levels and learning styles.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, exams, projects, and formative assessments; maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide academic support and intervention strategies as needed.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance conceptual understanding.
- Maintain classroom management that promotes respect, discipline, and academic integrity.
- Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Employee Handbook and school policies.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
English level: Fully bilingual: Spanish & English (Advanced level)
Professional Experience: 6monthsto1 year of teaching experience or related
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office systems (word, excel, power point)
- Basic knowledge of Google based applications (google drive, google calendar, google classroom, Gmail)
