SHIELD Proactive Maintenance (Shield) performs exterior assessments and repair work on single and multifamily residential buildings. Our clients are Property Management Companies (PMC), as opposed to homeowners, and as a result we interact with landlords, agents and tenant daily.
Our workforce comprises of inspectors, service technicians and a support team.

THE ASSISTANT INSPECTOR’S ROLE
Inspectors and Assistants are key representatives of SHIELD, with diverse skillsets comprising of defect diagnosis, technical problem solving, skillful communication through our reporting system, and practical repair skills.
The assistant will be performing repair work alongside their inspector and must raise the productivity of the team to accomplish the inspectors goals.
The Assistant Inspectors:
1. Be on time and communicate constantly with their Inspector
2. Become experts with Shield operational systems
3. Be flexible to grow with our new services
4. Have their inspectors back
5. Will assist in stocking their team vehicles with materials
6. Complete repair work according to inspector instructions and follow their leadership
7. Do all these tasks safely, taking responsibility for their safety and well-being on the job
8. Maintain a clean service vehicle and warehouse
9. Work on improving their expertise though experience and research alongside the training provided by SHIELD
SHIELD inspectors work on the following project categories:
1. Proactive Annual Assessments with possible repair work
2. SAVE Assessments with maintenance work
3. Emergent Work Order Assessments with possible repair work
Training, Probation and Deployment
Assistant Inspectors undergo a 6-12 Month training and probationary period consisting of service team training. The duration of training depends on their industry and work experience, self-confidence and teachability. During this period we can establish if you are a great fit for our dynamic team and if an inspector position opens up you will be eligible to apply.
Career Outlook:
You will be working towards becoming a Deployed a SHIELD Inspector for 6 months or a year. The best of the best. Our inspectors earn between 60-100k per year based on productivity.
Compensation:
Employed as W2 employee with Salary: $20/hour
