We are looking for an experienced Lead Service Plumber to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional plumbing services. At Brown’s, you’re not just another employee—you’re part of a family-oriented company that celebrates and supports our team.
As a Lead Service Plumber, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a wide range of plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings. You’ll also mentor apprentices, collaborate with fellow team members, and uphold the company’s reputation for quality and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting for tank and tankless water heaters
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot faucets, valves, sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, and other fixtures
- Install and repair water, drain, and gas piping systems, including re-piping and upgrades
- Locate and repair leaks in water, drain, and gas piping systems
- Perform drain cleaning and clearing with augers, jetters, and camera inspections
- Service and install sump pumps, sewage ejector pumps, and other water management systems
- (Preferred) Install, repair, and test gas piping for water heaters, furnaces, gas logs, and appliances
- (Preferred) Certification in backflow prevention and testing
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards
- Engage with customers to assess their needs, present solutions, and provide excellent service
- Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to complete jobs efficiently
- Assist with training and mentoring apprentices
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks to extend system life and prevent issues
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of plumbing experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Clear communication skills to explain solutions effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (bending, kneeling, stooping, etc.)
- Team player with a willingness to train and collaborate
