Greeter – Overview / Responsibilities
Hatch Early Mood Food – Lawton is more than just a brunch restaurant — we’re about creating connections. Our Greeters are the very first and last impression for every guest, and we want team members who bring energy, warmth, and sincerity to every interaction.
Our restaurant operates from 6:00 AM to 3:00PM Every Day, serving everything from fresh breakfast favorites in the morning to hearty comfort food and beverages into the afternoon. As a greeter, you set the tone for the guest experience by welcoming every person who walks through our doors and ensuring they feel cared for from start to finish.
Greeters are expected to live out our five core values in every shift: Purpose, Kindness, Hunger, Initiative, and Guardianship. These values define how we treat our guests, how we support our team, and how we deliver an experience that goes beyond a meal.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism as soon as they arrive.
- Introduce yourself by name and ask for the guest’s name to create a personalized experience.
- Manage the flow of seating and waitlist in an organized and efficient manner.
- Answer guest questions with confidence, providing clear and friendly communication.
- Support teammates when possible to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entry area at all times.
- Represent Hatch with positivity and pride in every interaction.
Required Physical & Mental Abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours).
- Must be able to perform physical activities requiring frequent walking and balancing.
- Availability to work at least 3 days per week including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Licensing & Permits
- Not required for greeter positions.
(Unlike serving or to-go roles, greeters are not responsible for alcohol service or food handling, so no permits are necessary.)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work each scheduled shift with consistent attendance and professional appearance.
- Follow Hatch’s steps of service and position-specific standards at all times.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in Hatch manuals and the companywide Code of Conduct.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and complete required training and testing.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
