ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Manage the Sulphur Facility
- Directly oversee all departments including payroll/human resources, dispatch, safety and maintenance.
- Supervise and manage the overall performance of staff in the department
- Analyze, report, give recommendations and develop strategies on how to improve quality and quantity with the input of the team.
- Identify problems, create choices and provide alternative courses of actions.
- Lead by example.
2. Communication with Clients
- Daily communication with Clients including daily email about bus count including dispatch spreadsheet, as well as identifying late buses.
- Timely communication of all issues/incidents occurring while we are providing service whether we have passengers or not.
- Attending meetings with Clients as required.
3. Driver Supervision
- Supervise all driver personnel.
- Counsel and document all driver write-ups; ensure this is communicated with the Safety Director.
- Communicate promptly and in a respectful manner.
4. Payroll
- Oversee the payroll coordinator.
- Review the preparation of the payroll spreadsheet including verifying that premium pay is not earned and the amounts are accurate.
- Approve the timecards in the APS system after corporate has reviewed and approved.
- Review and approve time off requests.
5. Insurance Contact
- Act as the point of contact for insurance reporting.
- Ensure all accidents are reported and information collected.
- Notify Safety and Training Director of all accidents.
6. Follows all Company Policies and Procedures
- Familiarizes oneself with the employee handbook and all company policies and procedures.
- Works when scheduled; calls in according to policy when arriving late for work or when absent.
- Observes policies on break and lunch periods.
- Uses work time appropriately.
7. Demonstrates a high level of effort and commitment to job assignments and company goals
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
- Informs supervisor of any and all customer problems or significant issues.
- Works within the system in a resourceful manner to accomplish reasonable work goals; shows flexibility in response to process change and adapts to and accommodates new methods and procedures.
- Assumes new responsibilities as assigned.
- Shows a willingness to be a part of a team and assume the role of team leader if asked.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with all other company employees in order to foster a comfortable, productive, and efficient work environment. Assists in projects or additional work from other departments as needed.
- Manages competing demands. Changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
- Demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
- 5 years of Operations Management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English
- Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the motorcoach industry and/or transportation industry
- Experience in group travel or tourism
