Carlsbad Copperstone Apartments is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. Our community consists of 448 apartment homes and is supported by a dedicated four-person maintenance team, providing the teamwork and staffing needed to keep our community running efficiently while preventing employee burnout.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community, including:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Diagnose and repair appliances
- Troubleshoot plumbing systems, fixtures, and water lines
- Perform drywall repairs, texture matching, painting, and general wall repairs
- Complete basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform carpentry and general maintenance repairs
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents (make-readies)
- Complete preventive maintenance and property upkeep
- Respond to resident maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
- Work safely while maintaining quality workmanship
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a well-rounded maintenance professional with experience in apartment maintenance or a related field. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge across multiple trades and enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience with HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
- Be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently while also being a dependable team player.
- Take direction well while also showing initiative and good judgment.
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service with residents and coworkers.
- Be reliable, accountable, and punctual.
On-Call Responsibilities
Maintenance Technicians participate in a mandatory rotating emergency on-call schedule, typically one week per month. On-call coverage includes evenings, weekends, and holidays during your assigned rotation.
Technicians who successfully handle all emergency calls during their assigned on-call week will receive an additional $100 on-call bonus.
