Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to join our team. As a Roll Off Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering roll-off containers to various locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to operate a variety of trucks including front loader, dump truck, and flatbed vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a range of heavy-duty trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and flatbed vehicles, to deliver and collect roll-off containers.
- Safely transport roll-off containers to and from job sites, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload containers, utilizing mechanical knowledge to maneuver equipment and maintain vehicle safety.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure all trucks are in good working order and meet safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Collaborate with the operations team to plan and optimize delivery routes.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Operate manual transmission vehicles, demonstrating a high level of skill and proficiency.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on the trucks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience, with a focus on delivery driving and heavy-duty trucking.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of trucks, including front loader, dump truck, and flatbed vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to perform routine maintenance and repair tasks.
- Experience with load and unload procedures, including the use of manual transmission vehicles.
- Excellent driving skills, with the ability to navigate heavy traffic and challenging road conditions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid CDL license, with the ability to operate vehicles in a variety of weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
