Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Sushi Helper to assist with daily kitchen operations, including poke bowl and hand roll preparation. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow into making sushi rolls with training provided.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Prepare ingredients
- Assist with sushi rice preparation and seasoning
- Prepare poke bowls and hand rolls according to recipes and standards
- Assemble takeout orders accurately and efficiently
- Learn to make sushi rolls with training and supervision
- Maintain freshness and proper storage of all ingredients
- Label and organize food items according to food safety standards
- Prepare sauces and garnishes
- Keep sushi bar and prep stations clean and organized
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
Supporting Functions:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas
- Assist with regular cleaning and kitchen maintenance
- Organize cooler and freezer storage
- Lift and move items up to 50 lbs when needed
- Assist with deep cleaning of the kitchen
- Maintain confidentiality of recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
