Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage civil infrastructure projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety protocols, and client expectations. Your technical expertise and project management skills will drive successful project delivery while fostering strong client relationships.
Duties
- Coordinate and manage all phases of civil infrastructure projects, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and review technical engineering reports, schematics, and design documents utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
- Conduct construction management activities such as site inspections, quality assurance, safety compliance, and progress tracking.
- Utilize hydrological modeling tools like HEC-RAS, SWMM, and Hydrologic analysis software to support stormwater management and water systems design.
- Engage in permitting phases by preparing documentation for regulatory approvals and coordinating with local agencies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide quantitative take-offs and procurement to ensure accuracy.
- Works under general supervision and oversight of VP of Project Manager.
- Accountable for completing all assigned tasks accurately and timely.
- Work Environment: Office (occasional visits to sites).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
- Proven experience managing civil infrastructure projects with a focus on stormwater systems, pipelines, or water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, GIS platforms, Bluebeam for document review and markup.
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools and techniques for cost control and resource planning.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and land surveying practices.
- Ability to generate comprehensive technical reports and conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on construction inspection experience coupled with understanding of permitting processes is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- One to three years of construction experience.
- Computer skills: AGTEK experience (is preferred) and other related software like AutoCAD, Strong Microsoft Office Knowledge, Excel (must be able to do basic formulas).
- Possess strong arithmetic skills (used for quantitative analysis).

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
