At Hotel ZaZa, the Banquet Cook plays a critical role in executing high‑quality culinary experiences for meetings, weddings, and special events. This position is responsible for preparing and presenting banquet menu items to luxury standards while working closely with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure flawless execution for events of all sizes.
The Banquet Cook contributes directly to guest satisfaction by delivering consistent quality, precision, and professionalism behind the scenes.

Prepare and cook banquet menu items according to established recipes, plating standards, and event specifications
- Execute food production for large‑scale events, including meetings, weddings, and special functions
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with banquet set‑ups, breakdowns, and last‑minute event changes as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station at all times
- Communicate effectively with culinary leadership regarding timing, quality, and production needs
- Support buffet and banquet line service, ensuring food quality and presentation remain consistent throughout events
- Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and proper labeling of food items
- Uphold Hotel ZaZa culinary standards, grooming guidelines, and safety protocols
- Support opening and closing duties and assist other culinary team members as needed

Previous banquet or hotel culinary experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and banquet food production
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event business
