Fusion Gourmet, Inc. is a specialty food company based in Rancho Dominguez, CA, dedicated to crafting and distributing premium consumer food products (sauces, noodles, snacks, candies & cookies) Our products are sold nationwide through a wide range of retail channels as well as through specialty food distributors. We also have some foodservice distribution. With almost 30 years of profitable growth, we continue to expand and are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team for a full-time, on-site position.
Role Description
- Responsible for the development, management and growth of targeted market segments including natural and specialty retailers, conventional supermarkets, specialty distributors as well as alternative trades
- Manage and grow existing accounts through responsible and proactive account management
- Work with brokers to develop and manage opportunities on an account or segment specific basis
- Assist with planning and participating in food tradeshows (3 to 5 per year)
- Work with logistics and order processing teams to ensure highest level of customer service
- Handle all aspects of vendor and item setup for new and existing accounts
- Assist with planning and managing promotional activities for key accounts
- Conduct key account presentations for new and existing business
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience selling consumer products in the US Grocery Food Industry
- Strong understanding of the specialty food segment as well as experience in selling to major retailers and distributors
- Strong skills in Business Development, Sales Strategies, and Account Management
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills with the ability to build meaningful client relationships
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address client needs effectively
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Must be resourceful, highly dependable, efficient and detailed oriented
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
