ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
*All pay and promotion decisions are performance-based*
A SHIFT: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
Expected hours: No less than 40 hours per week
B SHIFT: Tuesday through Thursday, 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (10% Shift differential)
Expected hours: No less than 36 hours per week
*Punctuality and attendance are key
The Entry-Level Electrical Assembly Technician supports the assembly, testing, and preparation of electrical cables, components, and equipment used in manufacturing systems. This position works from detailed instructions and prints to cut, assemble, and test electrical components while maintaining quality standards. No prior experience is required—training will be provided.
This is a physically demanding position that regularly requires lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, standing for long periods, and repeated bending at the knees and waist.
Responsibilities:
· Assemble electrical cables and components following detailed work instructions and prints.
· Perform basic assembly operations such as cutting, stripping, trimming, crimping, and organizing electrical components.
· Use hand tools and other necessary equipment to complete assembly tasks.
· Assist with building electrical assemblies and basic control panel components under supervision.
· Test assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Identify and report defects or issues in the assembly process.
· Prepare completed equipment for shipment, including cleaning, packaging, palletizing, and wrapping.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications:
· Ability to stand for long periods while working.
· Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
· Ability to repeatedly bend at the knees and waist.
· Ability to handle small parts and perform detailed work.
· Ability to distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly purposes.
· Basic math skills.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
· Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Familiarity with hand tools or previous hands-on work is a plus but not required.
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
