Job Title: Clinical Intake Specialist - Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Remote

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

As an RN Clinical Intake Specialist, you will be the foundational clinical touchpoint for our patients, setting the tone for their care journey with clinical excellence, clarity, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments and reviews of medical histories for new and prospective patients.
Triage inbound referrals, evaluate clinical eligibility, and determine urgency to route patients to the appropriate care pathways.
Partner closely with physicians, infusion nurses, and billing/intake specialists to ensure smooth care transitions and onboarding.
Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with prior authorizations, insurance requirements, and regulatory standards.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Provide patient education regarding care expectations, initial appointments, and next steps in their treatment plan.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan (or Compact License).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (intake, triage, utilization review, home health, or outpatient clinical specialty preferred).
Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities, excellent verbal/written communication, and proficiency with EHR software and office technology.
