Jim Bass Ford is seeking a motivated Automotive Lube Technician to join our fast-paced service team. This is a critical role where you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance services that keep our customers on the road.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, eager to learn, and ready to start a career in the automotive industry. If you have a strong work ethic and a passion for cars, we will provide the environment and the Ford factory training to help you succeed.
Monday through Friday
Rotating Saturdays
No Sundays
$15 per hour. After 3 months, transition to a commission structure.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.
Ability to commute to San Angelo, TX.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
Maintenance Excellence: Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and vehicle lubrication services with speed and precision.
Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough multi-point inspections, including fluid levels, tire condition, brake wear, and battery health.
Tire Services: Execute tire rotations, pressure adjustments, and basic tire repairs.
Documentation: Accurately record all work performed and document any additional maintenance needs for the Service Advisor.
Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay in accordance with dealership standards.
Teamwork: Assist main shop technicians when needed and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Previous experience in an express lube or automotive shop is a plus but not required.
Basic understanding of automotive hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to advance through Ford factory-sponsored training.
Reliability and a commitment to punctuality.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.
