Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple complex plumbing projects within the commercial construction sector. This pivotal role involves managing all phases of plumbing installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction plumbing management skills, extensive plumbing industry experience, and proficiency with industry-specific software tools.
Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial plumbing projects from inception through completion.
- Develop detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, contracts, and procurement processes to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project scope.
- Use construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation, tracking progress, and communication.
- Oversee site activities, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with engineers.
- Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and quality standards while proactively addressing potential issues.
- Facilitate effective communication among clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project flow.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience managing commercial plumbing projects within the construction industry.
- Strong background in construction site management, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and cost control measures.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Primavera P3 for project scheduling; experience with Construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of contracts administration and legal considerations related to construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively while maintaining strict time management discipline.
- Hands-on experience with civil site work using Civil 3D or similar civil engineering software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a solid understanding of heavy civil or infrastructure projects involving complex schematics.
