Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive axles, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to enhance ride quality and safety standards.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical systems and implement effective solutions.
- Service vehicle electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing auto estimating processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.
Qualifications
- Missouri Safety and Emissions certifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance across various models, including GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Skilled in repairing powertrain components such as transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle transmission systems.
- Familiarity with vehicle suspension system repair, wheel alignment procedures, and ADAS calibration techniques.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
