Job Duties for
Carpenter Position:
-
Read and interpret blueprints to plan layouts and calculate dimensions
-
Build and install frameworks, partitions, joists, trusses, and subflooring
-
Install trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, windows, and stair systems
-
Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools
-
Repair or replace damaged structural components and finishes
-
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and local building codes while maintaining a safe job site
-
Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and timeline adherence
-
Train and guide apprentices and laborers to meet performance and safety standards
-
Apply strong math and problem-solving skills for accurate measurements and material use
-
Safely operate tools and equipment while working in physically demanding conditions including heights and varying weather
-
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve issues
-
Follow all company policies and safety procedures
-
Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for
Carpenter Position:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum 2 years of journey-level carpentry experience
-
Strong blueprint reading and math skills for accurate measurements and material estimation
-
Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work at heights or in varying weather conditions
-
Proficient in safe use of hand tools and power woodworking equipment
-
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with teams and clients
-
Ability to stand during duration of shift
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
