WakeMed is hiring a CT Scan Supervisor to lead our CT imaging team within Imaging Services. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with people leadership, operational oversight, and staff development. As the CT Scan Supervisor, you'll help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality imaging services while supporting and developing a team of talented imaging professionals. You'll also serve as a key resource for departmental operations, patient safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and support CT team members through performance management, staff development, recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with departmental planning, workflow optimization, staffing strategies, and operational goals to support both short- and long-term success.
- Serve as a clinical resource and educator, supporting orientation, training, competency validation, and ongoing professional development for staff.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce errors, improve processes, and enhance the patient experience.
- Act as a management resource in the absence of the department manager and collaborate with leaders, providers, and team members to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Who you are
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography program.
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) and Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT) required.
- Minimum of three years of clinical radiology experience required.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, charge, preceptor, or team lead experience preferred.
- A collaborative and patient-focused leader with strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
