Duties
- Greet guests warmly, assist with seating arrangements, and provide a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety, including food handling and sanitation protocols
- Upsell menu items like specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transaction processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address inquiries about menu items including spirits knowledge or wine recommendations, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in fine dining settings or with spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation or beverage service is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs confidently
