Job Overview
We are hiring a hands-on team member for our high-volume Raceway location in Southaven, MS. This is a fast-paced store with lean staffing, so efficiency, reliability, and leadership on the floor are critical. This is not a sit-back role—you will be actively running shifts, supporting your team in real time, and ensuring the store operates at a high level every day. You’ll work closely with management and play a key role in preparing the store and yourself for future growth.
Shift Lead/Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and ensure smooth daily operations
- Deliver fast, friendly, and consistent customer service
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
- Keep shelves, coolers, and high-traffic areas fully stocked
- Handle cash management and ensure shift accountability
- Address customer and employee issues quickly and professionally
- Hold team members accountable and support performance improvement
Deli Lead Responsibilities
The Deli Lead owns the day-to-day operation of our in-store deli, ensuring food quality, safety, and speed of service on every shift.
- Oversee all deli prep, cooking, and service throughout the shift
- Maintain food safety and temperature standards at all times
- Keep the deli area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Manage product rotation and minimize waste
- Train and guide deli team members on procedures and standards
- Coordinate with store management on inventory and ordering needs
- Deliver fast, friendly service to every customer at the deli counter
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable leading by example and running shifts independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in convenience store, retail, or QSR environments (preferred)
- Motivated to grow into higher-level leadership roles
- Experience working in gas stations/convenience stores.
- For Deli Lead - must have experience managing a full deli.
Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour
