About the Role:
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing critical building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations on our third shift 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM Sunday through Thursday which includes a shift differential on your hourly pay. This role supports a hospital and medical office building campus in Pflugerville, Texas.
This role requires an individual who can work independently, respond effectively to both routine and emergency situations, and possesses a strong understanding of general building maintenance, with a focus on plumbing systems.
What You’ll Do:
Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of building systems, with a primary focus on plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
Conduct general building upkeep, including but not limited to hanging décor, moving furniture, minor flooring repairs, drywall patching, and other carpentry-related maintenance and repair.
Execute maintenance on plumbing systems, ensuring the optimal function of hot and cold-water systems, unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures such as toilets and sinks.
Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the facility to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
Respond to and complete assigned routine and emergency work orders in a timely manner.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of service.
Interact professionally with clients, tenants, and staff in a customer-facing environment.
Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, governmental requirements, and company directives related to operations and workplace safety.
Maintain and support an energy management program to ensure building systems operate as efficiently as possible.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

Explain difficult or sensitive information. What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Working knowledge of plumbing and general maintenance practices.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
