Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide detailed menu information to guests, including daily specials and recommendations.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests.
- Assist with food handling and preparation as needed in collaboration with kitchen staff.
- Process cash handling transactions accurately, including payments and tips.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role within the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the establishment.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help both guests and team members alike.
