5ivesenses, operated by fivesenses inc, is looking for a reliable, friendly, and positive Cafe Team Member to join our team in Honolulu.
5ivesenses is a small cafe that values hospitality, cleanliness, teamwork, and the beauty of the five senses — taste, aroma, presentation, atmosphere, and heartfelt service.
This position includes front counter service, food and drink preparation, simple kitchen support, cleaning, restocking, opening and closing tasks depending on the shift, and daily cafe operations.
We are looking for someone who enjoys creating a warm and welcoming experience for customers and takes pride in keeping the cafe clean, organized, and comfortable.
This is a good fit for someone who is dependable, kind, detail-oriented, and interested in hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly service.
- Take orders and process payments using the POS system.
- Prepare and serve drinks, food, and cafe items according to our recipes and standards.
- Assist with simple kitchen preparation and daily cafe operations.
- Keep the cafe, front counter, kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Restock supplies and help maintain a smooth workflow.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with daily cafe operations, including setup, cleaning, opening, and closing tasks depending on the shift.
- Work as part of a small team during both quiet and busy cafe hours.
- Help create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the 5ivesenses experience.
Requirements
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Honolulu, HI 96814.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team.
- Must be comfortable with standing, cleaning, multitasking, and working during busy cafe hours.
- Previous cafe, restaurant, kitchen, food service, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Food Handler Certificate is preferred, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
- Japanese language ability is a plus, but not required.
Pay
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Pay depends on experience, availability, and position responsibilities.
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time
- 4 to 40 hours per week
- Morning and daytime shifts
- Schedule may vary depending on availability and business needs.
