We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Restaurant & Banquet Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency in quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing personalized service that exceeds expectations.
- Manage multiple tables and bar stations efficiently using POS system to process orders accurately and swiftly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety and food handling standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
- Collaborate with catering teams for banquet events, setting up bars, serving drinks during functions, and ensuring smooth operation throughout events.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Upsell beverages and promote specials to increase sales while ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant, fine dining, or banquet environment is REQUIRED. Night & weekend availability REQUIRED with day availability with flexibility ideal.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent math skills for basic retail math, cash handling, and tab management.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and beverage presentation skills.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
Certificates/Licenses:
ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) & RAMP or TIPS equivalent required.
