Through immersive wellness programming, healing modalities, spa services, movement experiences, creative expression, and nature-based rituals, we provide guests with a truly unique hospitality experience unlike anything else in the industry.
We are seeking an experienced Wellness Director to lead and grow our wellness department while ensuring every guest receives an exceptional and memorable experience.
Position Overview
The Wellness Director is responsible for the vision, development, execution, quality, profitability, and growth of all wellness experiences offered at The Jenesis House.
This individual will oversee wellness practitioners, spa providers, wellness programming, retreat experiences, bath house operations, and creative wellness offerings while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
This is both a leadership and guest-facing role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a team, building systems, creating experiences, and facilitating wellness sessions.
What You'll DoWellness Programming & Guest Experience
- Develop and publish monthly wellness calendars
- Create and oversee wellness classes, workshops, and group experiences
- Design seasonal wellness offerings and retreat programming
- Launch new wellness services and experiences
- Facilitate wellness classes, workshops, and private sessions as needed
- Monitor guest participation, feedback, and satisfaction
Team Leadership
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train wellness practitioners
- Manage healer, massage therapist, and esthetician schedules
- Conduct team meetings, audits, and performance reviews
- Foster a positive, collaborative wellness culture
- Ensure certifications, agreements, and compliance requirements are maintained
Revenue Growth & Partnerships
- Develop new revenue-generating wellness experiences
- Build partnerships with practitioners, educators, influencers, and wellness brands
- Increase wellness participation and bookings
- Collaborate with other departments to maximize guest engagement
Operations Management
- Oversee Bath House operations and wellness experiences
- Oversee Watercolor & Art Therapy programming
- Ensure wellness spaces remain organized, stocked, and guest-ready
- Maintain operational excellence and service standards
Administrative Leadership
- Maintain healer directory, certifications, photos, and bios
- Update wellness menus and guest materials
- Develop and maintain wellness SOPs
- Track department performance, attendance, guest feedback, and revenue metrics
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience
- Experience in wellness, hospitality, spa, retreat, or holistic health environments
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- Passion for guest experience and transformational wellness
Preferred
- Experience managing wellness practitioners or spa teams
- Background in Reiki, sound healing, breathwork, yoga, coaching, massage therapy, esthetics, or related modalities
- Retreat planning experience
- Event programming experience
- Luxury hospitality experience
Compensation & BenefitsCompensation
- $55,000 annual salary
- Up to $15,000 annual performance bonus
- Quarterly bonus eligibility based on department OKRs
