As we continue to expand across multiple states, we are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team.
Position Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for employees in Arizona and other states. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll compliance, and the ability to manage multi-state payroll regulations. Multi-state payroll experience is preferred but not required.
This position plays a critical role in supporting our field and office teams by ensuring payroll is processed correctly, on time, and in compliance with all applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly in house payroll for 100+ employees
- Handle certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and timekeeping systems
- Coordinate with HR and accounting regarding new hires, terminations, benefits, and deductions
- Reconcile payroll reports, conduct internal audits, and assist with general ledger entries
- Handle garnishments, levies, and other withholdings
- Manage quarterly taxes/reporting and year-end processes including W-2 preparation
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred
- Processing In-House Payroll: 5 years (Required)
- Manage payroll across multiple states (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of certified payroll experience
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting
- Experience with timekeeping systems and payroll software
- Construction industry experience a plus
- Foundation Software knowledge a plus but not required
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
